Paint as Image: Coaxed from a process of actions and reactions, my goal is to create a sense of perspective and texture and develop dynamic motion that conveys a feeling, or sense of being. Working on several paintings at the same time, I spill paint and other mediums onto a panel and simultaneously abuse and wrestle with the work. My process is to use free-flowing paint as both the medium and the tool. Amorphous forms appear to be decomposing at the very moment of inception. The converging mediums make objects upon the surface that create a focal point that sparks the imagination and creates space. The resulting images portray references to potentially actual things and present alternate forms of expression.
